Storm Trooper Parade
200 storm troopers from the 501st Legion (“Vader’s Fist”) marched in this year’s Rose Bowl. The Grand Marshal was George Lucas.
I also read that a bunch of storm troopers fainted in the heat, from all that their plastic armor and black leggings in the heat. Clearly, Vader needs to “accept some apologies” to enforce discipline.
Also marching were the dancers from Jabba’s palace.
So awesome.

Hey bob
I see that you visited my site. You should update your xanga. Haha. Cool pics though.
what’s a storm trooper?
Dear Xanga,
You have shut down my site [TakingxOverxMe] with no reason at all. You didn’t warn me. I want to know why. I haven’t done anything wrong. I want my site reinstated.
That journal was almost three years of my life. Three years that you have just taken from me for no reason.
Your policy states:
“SHUTTING DOWN A SITE We’ve built some protection into Xanga, like Xanga Lock, Protected Posting, Comment Blocking, and Comment Deletion. But sometimes that isn’t enough, and a user will appeal to our Abuse Team for a site shutdown. Remember, your conduct is governed by the Xanga Terms of Use, which includes the Rules of Member Conduct. That said, a lot of people ask us how we would decide what content to take down or keep up. That’s a complicated decision made on a case-by-case basis. But three of the things we see that almost always result in a site shutdown are: The site exists solely to abuse or stalk another member (or ethnic group) The site contains an explicit death threat (or physical threat) to another person The site contains underage nudity (any nudity of a minor under the age of 18).”
I haven’t done any of the above things.
Your policy says:
“The following is a list of Content and Conduct that violates the Rules of Member Conduct – you may not use the Service to:
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, sexually or otherwise objectionable;
harm minors in any way;
solicit personal information from anyone under 18;
impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, a Xanga official, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
provide a false birthday or age;
forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any Content transmitted through the Service;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that you do not have a right to transmit under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements);
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights (“Rights”) of any party;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of solicitation, except in those areas (such as classifieds) that are designated for such purpose;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
“stalk” or otherwise harass another;
collect or store personal data about other users;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that provides instruction about illegal activities, including illegal drug use, child predation, terrorist activities, instructions in assembling or obtaining bombs or other weapons;
upload, post, email or otherwise transmit any Content that encourages or promotes physical harm against any group or individual. This includes Content that encourages or promotes self-harm;
interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers or networks used to provide or receive the Service or disobey any requirement, procedure, policies and regulation of any networks used to provide and receive the Service;
intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national, foreign or international laws or regulation, including, any rule or regulation of any securities exchange, such as the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange or the NASDAQ, any self-regulatory organization or the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.”
To my knowledge, I haven’t done any of the above things.
My site has wrongly been shut down and I would like it reinstated.
I’ve had the site for almost three years. I was doing the same thing then as I was now on it. If I was in the wrong, then why hasn’t my site been deleted before now?
I would like to know what I did wrong because I am absolutely positive that I haven’t violated any terms or policies that Xanga has.
In my opinion, you shouldn’t have deleted my site, especially since you didn’t warn me. I have been “punished,” so to speak, and you haven’t told me what I am to be “punished” for.
This is completely unfair and an absolute outrage.
Please get back to me promptly.
Sincerely,
Cortney Hall
What if the heat made them nauseous? Then they’d throw up inside their helmet. That would really suck.
